Questions about services

How do we pay for projects?

  • Projects start on receipt of 50% deposit of total project cost. Payment can be made by direct bank transfer or Stripe. If paying by stripe, please note a surcharge of 2.9% will be added to the invoice to cover Stripe fees. The remaining balance is paid on project sign off by both parties.

Do you work with grants?

  • Yes. If you’re applying for government grants, I can help with your application. For example in Ireland I have helped past clients with application for Local Enterprise Office funding for the Trading Online Voucher Scheme.

What is your hourly rate?

  • I don’t work on an hourly basis as its unfair to your business and mine. I only work on fixed projects or monthly retainers. That way I can dedicate more time and energy to the project without worrying about going over time.

How do monthly retainers work?

  • Monthly retailers are recurring fees paid up front to reserve my services. They come in 3 or 6 month blocks depending on requirements. Example: SEO retainers are typically over a longer time frame.

Can we meet in person?

  • I operate a location independent business which means I can be in a different city or country from time to time. Therefore it’s not always possible to meet in person. I work with clients all over the world from Sydney, Dublin or LA and I use tools like Skype, Facetime or Google Hangouts for video meetings. FYI, I don't use Zoom at present due to critical security and privacy flaws within their software.

Do you provide a warranty or guarantee

  • Yes. All works are guaranteed for 30 days. If your website breaks due to my development work then I will fix free of charge with 30 days following sign off. However if you edit a page and it breaks the formatting then there will be fixed charge for repair. If you would like to retain my services for ongoing website maintenance, please get in touch.
